Daniel Charpentier: a distinctive stage signature forged of multiple experiences in the arts, culture, communication, industry, and organisations and institutions in France and around the world.
• In 2003, Daniel Charpentier directed the Closing Ceremony of the World Track and Field Championships, after organizing the Opening Ceremony of the African Nations Cup in Bamako, Mali.
• In 2004, Daniel Charpentier conceived and directed the International Ceremony to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Normandy Landing and the Liberation of France - in the presence of numerous sovereigns, heads of state and government leaders, and broadcast live around the world from the Normandy beaches. He then directed the Opening Ceremony of the 17th Arabian Gulf Cup in Doha, Qatar.
• In 2005, he organized the 858th Anniversary Celebration of the City of Moscow for hundreds of thousands of people in front of Lomonossov University.
And for the large crowd assembled in the Place de Bellecour in Lyon, France, he created a fresco of illuminations to celebrate the Festival of Light. He also directed a series of public and private events - including a permanent spectacle for the Theatre of the Familistère in Guise for the Department of Aisne in the Picardy region of France; and the 40th Anniversary Celebration of the Carrefour supermarket chain, for some 2,200 invited guests from over 40 countries. For the National Order of French Pharmacists, Daniel Charpentier directed the Spectacle celebrating the Bicentennial of the law that created the French Pharmacist profession. He conceived “The Light That Heals” for the France Electricity Foundation, and also lit « Les Plus Belles Robes du Cinéma » Exhibition at Paris’ Arts Pavillon. |
